Zip files always download as an archive

I noticed that individual zip files download as an archive although they are not supposed to. For example I have the following files in a directory with sizes:
electrode.zip - 7.02 kb
manifold.pdf - 18.51 kb
excel.xls - 49.55 kb
word.doc - 103.5 kb
(all 4 files totalling 178 kb in size)
If I click to download electrode.zip, it always ends up downloading electrode.zip as an archive 178kb big compressing inside it 4 files instead of only the electrode.zip which is 7.02 kb big.
Clicking to download the other individual pdf, xls and doc file has no problem. Only happens when the downloaded files is a zip file.

Has it really been fixed?
I uploaded a zip file of size-1.35mb, inside contains a 28mb .doc file.
When i download the zip file, it becomes a .txt file.
Have i not configure anything?

i realized that if i don't input a "NEW NAME" in the New Name text box, the zip file can be properly downloaded. But if i input a new name, the file gets converted to an unknown file with no extension..
is this a bug?

Actualy the upload file name includes extention. Did you tried "new name.zip" ?
