I would LOVE to find a module that let's me post links in my blog posts like the Facebook tool that takes a URL and extracts a blurb of text and a choice of images from the URL's source page. Does this kind of module exist for 6.x? Or can anyone tell me how to do it with a combination of current modules. I mean, I guess I could just make a blog post with manually linked image and manually copy-and-pasted text from the source, but that's more steps than I'd like.

Check out this module: http://drupal.org/project/fbsmp I don't know if it is the same as discussed in this thread, but it seems to offer the features which have been asked for.
