Issue Summary
i don;t like that my album is the front page. how do you fix this? is it an option? How come visitors cant click on the albums page? they only can click on "Latest..."

In my opinion, there are two possibilities to place your album at the front page:
- to enable the checkbox 'at the frontpage'; this is the second 'publishing option' of your album settings
- to configure the album as the 'default front page' at 'side information'
Your visitors might need the 'administer menu' permission to create a menu link and define a 'parent item'. But this is not always useful, because the visitors will get the abitilty to destroy your menu structure this way.
A better alternative is to enable the 'book' module. Then you can place an empty book page somewhere in your menu structure and your visitors can create albums as subpages. For this, you also have to enable at least the 'create content' permission of the book module and to activate the 'album' content at the book configuration page.
