After installation of date module, node creation dates are prefilled

Hi,

after installation of the "date" module, on certain content types the node creation dates are prefilled with a date in the past (e.g. 2008-05-15 01:31:51), possibly the date when I created the content type. If I don't delete this entry in every node, the node appears to be created in the past.

As far as I have noticed, this happens only on certain CCK-based content types, and not on all CCK-based content types. To make it appear even more erratic, it happens on some content types with the CCK "date" field but not on all. Firstly I had a contributed module under suspicion (Node form template). but again the error does not appear on all content types with prefilled node form template.

Any ideas?
