The Sheetnode module (http://drupal.org/project/sheetnode) helps you use spreadsheets in Drupal. Linking these two would be a great way for storing data from people applying/registering with schools, etc.

This is highly unlikely to be added to the Webform module. From the description of the Sheetnode module, it looks like it works exclusively with a node-as-spreadsheets paradigm. Not only are submissions in Webform not nodes, but the results are an aggregation of submissions. Even if integration were possible, it would need to be done as a module separate from Webform.
