Issue Summary
superfly touches and moves pieces
as if by magic
in the land of el dorado,
what if it turned on/of with more vices?
visibility settings on/off 'per node type' basis
of "Submitted by..." text, node links, user pictures,
on
admin/content/node-type/[xtype]/display
- with another additional module more Drupal properties becomes modularly movable - and imho- should be considered for addition to core v.7
-thanks

I found out (it took me a while) that after installing Eldorado Superfly and activating 'Submitted by...' on it overwrites the visibility setting on
/admin/build/themes/settings/global
but i think what this module is a positive step for better management of previously fixed properties
-unless it respects or rather overtakes visibility options on their related settings into per node settings in forms
~yesterday before i became unaware this visibility issue with superfly, problem gave me idea and i submitted a suggestion for Drupal v7
to move 'Submitted by...' to the node form settings -with visibility settings- per node type basis
http://drupal.org/node/504358
same true for other properties superfly handles may/can be better in the core
my apologies this comment should belong to the issue post above unfortunately the original issue post are not re- editable

Some of the work for this is already part of core in D7 -- the node links, for example, are part of the content array for a node and can be reordered using nodeapi.
Unfortunately, the CCK 'displays' tab currently has no mechanism for manipulating things that aren't actually CCK fields. Only the 'manage fields' tab, where items are re-ordered, has that hook. In the future as Drupal becomes more 'field-centric', I do think that would be an excellent addition.

Also, opening a feature request with original lyrics is a sure way to ensure it is escalated to the top of the queue.
Bug reporters, take note.

thanks eaton, hope the original bug report noted -that Superfly ignores the visibility settings on the theme settings.
"Also, opening a feature request with original lyrics is a sure way to ensure it is escalated to the top of the queue.

lyrical bug report for a lyrical module (respect)! next step of a creative module introduction or bug reporting would be a musical one.
why not? ;) since Drupal itself had few songs dedicated to it why not for the modules and the bug reports?
that would be the 1st among all oscms's i guess.
Drupal takin' us higheea, hiiiigheaaa (sung and danced in a motown/soundofwall tune)
correction- my spelling mistake
'of' should read 'off' -in the title and on the 'lyrics'
