I was going to open a query on here but I played around with it for a bit and am just posting it here for others.
Under the Extra commands section I added: /novalidate-cert
As that ignores the fact that my personal mailserver is using a self-signed SSL certificate and got it working.

Canine Coaches CreditAttribution: Canine Coaches commentedEdit: I just noticed this was mailhandler, I was getting same error in mail api 6.1.7 searched for error and didn't notice the module in issue. Not enough sleep. This worked for mail api also.
