I was wondering if there is anything that will limit users total space. Even it is images uploaded, total blog, pages etc. Anything that is uploaded by user.
I would like to allow user to upload anything they have but I dont want some control on the total amount they can upload.

I'd love to hear a solution for this as well !

I know I can do this at the OS level, but thats another whole layer of complexity.

I am even ok with setting up a combination of a few things.
I know places like Bryght http://support.bryght.com/supported-modules/drupal-core
Allow for a "Total file size per user" #4. I wonder if this is part of the hosting package.

Guys ! looks like there is nothing of such kind in Drupal ... we should develop our own.

IMCE for TinyMCE http://drupal.org/project/imce
which is a filebrowser/downloader that is integrated with TinyMCE (not standalone)
it has limit on the dimensions of the images and total file size and uses a folder per user.

If you go in the configuration page (admin/settings/imce) you can specify which document extensions (other than images) that you want to allow users to download.

It really was just put in the CVS in August so test it thoroughly
If you run in to trouble visit http://drupal.org/node/78033 first

if you want something more general look in filemanagement modules http://drupal.org/project/Modules/category/62
but I don't think they have something with limits
