Mollom issues with test sites?

Description

When copying files and databases back and forth between production and test sites, does anything need to be changed to let Mollom know which site is which? If one simply copies everything without informing Mollom, does it create any problems?

Thanks.

Hi Jonathan

The Mollom Access Keys are domain-specific, so you would need two different sets of keys. One set for your test site and one for your production site. Apart from the keys, the rest can stay as is.

So, if you are copying databases back and forth, you would have to go and change the keys if it is not right for the particular domain, just as with any service that uses API keys, such as Google Maps.

Keys can be changed at admin/settings/mollom and you can get your keys (one set for every domain, even for localhost sites) at Mollom Site Manager.

Does this answer your question?

Answer has been provided. I also use separate keys for my production and test sites. Maybe we could look into integrating with the Keys API. I will file a new feature request for that.
