The annual SXSW Interactive Festival takes place March 12-14, 2006 in my hometown, Austin, Texas. To answer many questions about this event, visit the SXSW Interactive Festival's FAQs. The Interactive Festival is described as:

An incubator of new, cutting-edge technologies, the SXSW Interactive Festival is ground zero for the world's most creative web developers, designers, bloggers, wireless innovators and new media entrepreneurs. Also scheduled March 12-14 on the top floor of the Austin Convention Center is the Interactive/Film (iF!) Trade Show + Exhibition, the hub of daytime activities. In addition to more than 125 booths, this space is home to many special events and activities. There will be more than 80 regional and national companies exhibiting and as of 2/25/06 free passes are available! If you live in the Central Texas area and don't plan on buying a $300 iF! pass for all the iF! programs but want to check out the boths and companies exhibiting, this is the way to go!

I see from the 2006 Exhibitor List that Bryght will be exhibiting. Will there be any other Drupal-related exhibitors there?

I'm not a developer but am using Drupal and will just attend the Trade Show & Exhibition with a free pass. If there is any interest, I'm also willing to help with Austin-area Drupal events (conferences, meet-ups, bug-fixing parties, etc.) during this Festival as well as future Austin-area events. I can't code but...I can set up a meeting place. ;)

If you would like to know about and potentially meet other Drupal users & developers in your area, be sure to check out this link in order to add your profile to the Drupal user and/or Drupal developer lists. The Frappr lists, once more fully populated by Drupal users and/or developers, could help folks around the world to set up get-togethers (conferences, meet-ups, bug-fixing parties, etc.) with other like-minded Drupal users/developers. Please encourage other Drupal users/developers to add their profiles as well. :)

I'll be in Austin. I'm in the process of building a site with Drupal for the first time. Would be cool to talk to others who have experience.
