Set documentation team input format?

If you don't have access to the doc team input format, why did you want me to change it to that?

Because I want to contribute a new documentation and my contribution include HTML tables.

Please don't take the following personal it's my point of view about the process of adding a documentation with HTML tables. My point of view as a person without documentation admin role. My objective is to find a way to make it as easy as possible to contribute documentation with HTML tables. Here it is, in short contributing new documentation was a very quick & easy experience for me. But contributing new documentation with HTML tables was definitely not quick & easy for me.

In details here is why my experience wasn't not quick & easy:
1. First I'm trying to contribute a new documentation under that section http://drupal.org/node/266179
I can create a new child page. Add HTML tables to it. So far it's easy. But when I preview the new child page the tables aren't displaying properly.
2. I'm searching drupal.org and the documentation site for at least an hour but can't find information on how to add tables to a new documentation child page.
3. I create a new issue in the documentation issue queue. Then get a great reply from add1sun: http://drupal.org/node/512658
4. I try again to create a child page. Add a temporary message in it "To come. Please come back later. Waiting for documentation team input format to be activated". I save my child page: http://drupal.org/node/514810 But I don't add my tables yet because I can't preview them anyway with the filtered format. I'll add, preview & edit my tables later when the documentation input format is activated.
5. I create a new issue in the documentation issue queue requesting to set the documentation team input format for the newly create child page. This is where you came in: http://drupal.org/node/514818
6. Once the documentation team input format is activated I try to edit the page to add & preview my tables but can't edit the page because the EDIT button isn't display.
7. Now the page is back to filtered format and the EDIT button is visible. So I can edit the page but the tables aren't showing in preview mode. To see the tables I would have to redo above step 1 and so on. In other words it seems that I'm cough in an infinite loop of doom. I'm laughing at me here scratching my head L;)

Mmmm... maybe I should have added the tables anyway at above step 4. I didn't back then because I was assuming that the EDIT button would be available with both filtered and doc team input formats. I'm pocking around here. It's my first time contributing doc with tables. Could you confirm if the below 2 steps are correct?

How to add documentation with HTML table for beginners:
1. Create a new child page. Add my tables to the page even if I can't preview them. Save my page. The page will be very ugly and hard to format because the tables won't be display properly with filtered format. But that's normal for now.
2. Create a new issue in the documentation issue queue. Requesting to set the documentation team input format. When done the tables will be display nice and pretty.

Thanks Michelle. Good idea. I'll try that. I made a request to be in the doc team.

I'm done adding the HTML tables. Could you change the following page input format to doc team input format?
