Issue Summary
Hello,
I installed Simplenews with mime mail and simplenews on registration
I created simplenews signup block but is is displayed only when a user is signed up
SimpleNews sign up block is not visible to anonymous visitor.
I have tried both options "Users cannot control whether or not they see this block" and "Show this block by default, but let individual users hide it" but there is no change.
Permission 'subscribe to newsletters' for anonymous is also given.
Is this a bug or some other setting required?

fdambrosio, if you expect a reply you need to spend more time to document your problem.

FWIW: I had the same problem: subscription block was not shown for anonymous users, no matter what block settings I used. After quite a struggle I discovered that Taxonomy Access seems to be the cause of this. Once I granted the Anonymous user List access to the default term of the newsletter vocabulary the problem went away and the block was shown.

Same problem and solution (for Simplenews 6.x-1.3) as reported by toniw in #5.

I have this same issue, how do you configure your taxonomy access permissions?

@bjsomers - /admin/user/taxonomy_access. Read the bottom of an individual role's "edit" page and the link there (/admin/help/taxonomy_access) as well.
The taxonomy access permissions UI leaves a lot to be desired.
