My work environment is

DRUPAL 6.13 ,
SMTP Authentication Support 6.x-1.0-beta3

Simplenews 6.x-1.0-rc6
Mime Mail 6.x-1.x-dev
Send 6.x-1.x-dev

I have a linux server, without mail server, thus sending
through Drupal SMTP Authentication Support module.

Simplenews install, try to send mail and it works fine
(send mail to plain text). The mail is sent to the
SMTP module (PHPMailer) with an external server(gmail) .-

Install mime mail stops working the mail, install module send
still not working mail. This facility attempts to send mail whith the servermail localhost

There ay way to symplenews + mimemail
can send HTML-formatted mail with Drupal smtp module using
an external smtp?.
