Date popup when date range is set in the past

Fresh D6.13 install. Enabled CCK, Date, Date Popup. I created a new content type that has one Date field and 'Text Field with Date Pop-up calendar' as widget and added a negative value for BOTH ranges: '-15:-7'.
On node create form everything is displayed oki (I have years from '94 to '02) but if I select a date from '94 the popup will place a 2009 year instead... If I go on another year page and return back to '94 the it works..

I also tried it without Jquery UI and the same bug can be reproduced.
