Rules module integration

Greetings. I'm using the image publishing module on a new site I'm working on. So far it works as advertised and I'm pleased with the results. Thank you for the work you've done on this.

One of the functions of the site is to take a gallery created with this module and convert it into a CCK filefield with all the images attached to one node. This part is also working pretty well now. However, I can't seem to find a way to determine just when image pub is finished processing uploads so I can trigger the conversion automatically.

I have rooted around in the code trying to find some place to attach a trigger, rule or watchdog event to indicate a completed process but I can't find anything to hook into.

I'm looking for advice or suggestions on how I might make this work so any input at all would be welcome.
