Please help me. What would it take to extend the functionality of your module to allow for each domain to have different payment options and store details such as VAT number and location (but otherwise share all other information according to the domain module's settings?)

It seems these are all stored as variables in the central database, would it be possible for your module to create prefixes within the variables table?

Please help!

separate payment methods and gateways is started to be implemented, see: http://drupal.org/node/456756 but you have to use the dev version to get this feature. i don't think there is a place to set the store's default gateway yet.
