Allow indexing and searching files visible with filebrowser

Hi

In my system, in addition to attaching a file to a node, I have an additional way to upload a large number of files:

* Copying them directly to the server and creating a node of type "directoy listing", using filebrowser. This allows me to share the whole content of a CD, keeping the filesystem tree structure of the original CD.

The problem is that the content of these files are not indexed due to the fact that filebrowser only shows the content of the directory but do not establish any kind of link with the files.

Does anyone know of any alternative to allow all these files to be indexed?
