Hi

I mistakenly downloaded and installed believing that it would work and that life would be much better because if it but alas it is not the case.

I've installed the genesis project that's listed here http://drupal.org/project/genesis and as I was installing the sub-theme of genesis cold day I needed to install an older version as stated..

"NOTE: ALL the pre-styled subthemes are only compatible with 6.x-1.2! This includes Cold Day, Darkmatter, Typo 1, Webify, WebX and Zine."

Unfortunately even with these installed I get the error message;

Fatal error: Call to undefined function genesis_theme() in /mnt/w0505/d18/s38/b030462b/www/vancouverbuddhisttemple.com/sites/default/themes/genesis_coldday/template.php on line 12

My site has died, please is there anyway I can revert back to another theme or either fix it via php admin.

Thanks.

Go to the system table and search there for the genesis theme. Set its status to 0. This should make the page accesible again (I guess).

Thanks but unfortunately that didn't fix it.

I have the dependency module uploaded and I've changed the instances of SUBTHEME to the one I've uploaded as it says on the project page.

I luckily had just backed up the database only the day before and can revert back if needed but I rather suspect it's a simple fix but I just can't see it.

It's so frustrating :)

Its easy, delete all the Genesis themes from the server, your site will then load with a bunch of errors, but just clear the theme registry (by going to the themes list) and then enable Garland as the theme, then you can start over - install the right version of Genesis (6.x-1.2) and then Cold Day.

What you probably did is try to over write the new version with the old, but that wont work.

Hi thanks for the reply. That's exactly what I did in order to the site back online. I must remember that trick if it should ever happen or I see someone with the same problem.

Thanks again, you're a lifesaver. :)
