I have translated 40% so far (aggregator, archive, block, blogapi, blog, book, comment, common-inc, contact, drupal, file, filter and forum modules). I will finish the entire translation in the following days.

baudolino commentedThese strings were finally merged together with my older 4.6 translation files. All fuzzy strings were updated, and the result was uploaded to the cvs and tagged for the 4.7 release. As a result, 85% of Drupal is now translated to Romanian. If there other volunteers who'd like to tackle the remaining 15%, please attach your po files to this issue and I'll update the cvs tree.
It goes without saying, but I'll mention it anyway: when translating, please use the UTF-8 encoding, so that we'll have a proper way of displaying the diacritics. Unlike the phpBB translation project, I don't like the idea of maintaining two separate branches - with and without diacritics.
