Display RSS Feed on homepage

Hello.
Using Views I have created my feed display.
In Views under 'Feed Settings' when I enter a path I can navigate to the path and see my feed.
If I set the path to www.mysite.com/bingo-news/bingo-news.xml the feed icon appears in the browser search bar when on the page www.mysite.com/bingo-news . This is great.

What I want to do is move the feed to my homepage so that when someone visits the homepage 'www.mysite.com/ the feed icon illuminates in the browser search bar. I do not seem to be able to do this.

I assumed that by simply entering the extension of my feed in the Feed Settings 'path' box I would be able to achieve this effect.

Does anyone know where I am going wrong. I am using panels on my homepage too.
