I have installed the D6 version of the mini-module in post #37 with Drupal 6.13 and Notifications 6.x-2.1, but found that whilst it worked for automatically defaulting notifications for new users, I was not able to get it to automatically replicate this for all existing subscribers. I have triple checked my permissions, and in the end I changed 100 records manually. Unless I am doing something wrong, someone might like to look at this issue. Thanks.
I also note that this code only works for contents type. I'd like it to automatically default notifications on for new users when I have enabled notifications by tags. Is this possible, and is it possible to include this in the main release so it can be updated as and when we go to D 7?

danepowell commentedUser-autosubscribe is not an official module yet that I'm aware of, and certainly not part of notifications_extra. If you have problems please bring them up in the original thread, which still appears active:
