Hello,
I like the idea of this but when I activate the module the notifcations page disappears for users other than those with administer permissions.

tallsimon,
this module was written just prior to Notifications 2.0 and some stuff broke after that update. There are immanent plans to fix that compatibility and then we'll revisit this.

There is a task here #571616: Make compatible with Notifications 2.x for the notifications compatibility issue.
