Hello,
I was wondering if maybe I could get some feedback on a question I submitted to the 'Post Installation' forum back on August 31st (http://drupal.org/node/564744).
I never got a reply back and so I'm just wondering if anyone could take a look at it and give me some feedback as to what I may have done wrong so that I can ask better questions in the future. Was it offensive? Did I not do enough homework? Is what I'm asking maybe just not possible? Or is not getting a response not unusual?
Just looking for some friendly advice...

I took a look and I don't see any obvious reason you didn't get a reply. I'm in the forums a lot, and I just didn't see it. There's lots of people posting and far less responding-- posts just get missed sometimes. Also, feel free to 'bump' your existing post rather than create a new one.
That said, you should take a look at the default built-in per group menu provided with the og module-- there's a lot you can do with just css styling. Also, there's a whole category of modules that add-on to og. It's probably worthwhile browsing them, but 2 that spring to mind are http://drupal.org/project/og_block_visibility and http://drupal.org/project/og_menu.

Thanks so much for taking the time to look, I really appreciate it. I 'bumped' it once and have thought about doing it since but wasn't sure if repeatedly bumping a post is considered as obnoxious or not.
And thanks for your suggestions on the actual question, I will definitely check those modules out!

See http://drupal.org/forum-posting for some suggestions about posting on forums; bumping a post is allowed, but you should not do it too frequently, as reported in the book page .
