Ecommerce with Drupal

I'm trying to figure out if Drupal/ubercart will work in my specific situation.

I'm in the middle of designing a church based site, so it's not a traditional type of store. Instead of adding items to a cart and then checking out, they want forms for donations and such that can be filled out with a choice of different options, and then to fill in their personal information, including credit card information and to submit payment and that's it. They simply click the donate button, choose what/how much they want to donate, submit the form and they're done. Is this possible using drupal/ubercart?

Another thing I need to be able to do is similar to how the airline sites work. Basically, there are events at the church. I want them to be able to choose a date and then, rather than load a blueprint of the seats on a plane to choose from, they get a blueprint of the sanctuary and have the option to choose their seat/seats and then pay for it. I also need it to show which seats are/aren't available. I suppose this part could be done by simply setting each seat to having 1 item stock and once it's purchased, it changes color, but what about the rest? Is it possible using drupal?

Ubercart is so flexible I doubt very much if there's anything it can't be adapted to.

For your particular case, you might want to checkout the http://drupal.org/project/uc_donation module.

Some other modules that may prove useful:

http://drupal.org/project/simple_reservation
http://drupal.org/project/reservation
http://drupal.org/project/uc_node_checkout
http://drupal.org/project/signup
http://drupal.org/project/uc_signup

Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately the uc_donation module still seems to add the donation to the shopping cart before checking out. The users on this site are not very internet savvy. They need a simple form that they can submit, and that's it. No checkout process. Is this possible with ubercart?

I'm still learning all the intricacies of ubercart so i'm not sure. You can try asking over at ubercart.org-- you're much more likely to catch the eyes of someone that can answer. A couple of other, simpler options, if you can deal with paypal only, are http://drupal.org/project/donation and http://drupal.org/project/lm_paypal.
