We are building a site with 200 users.
SOme of these users are students and the rest teachers.
each student has a specific teacher and each teacher has a specific student.
the teacher must be given special rights over his students account only.

Modules for 'roles permission ' don't help as 1 teacher must have special permissions for 1 student only.
Any other suggestions?

Content Access has granular control over user. It may suit you needs.

There's no way to make a recommendation without knowing what 'special permissions' are.

Agreed, but Organic Groups may fit the bill if it's not too much overhead for each relationship ...
