I am running drupal 4.7 rc3 with the search module and porterstemmer module
I have node titled "Laing, Ali" but I cannot seach for the word Laing
when I do I get the following error message
You must include at least one positive keyword with 3 characters or more.
but if I search for Ali I find the node correctly
If you try the same search on this site you get the same result
so what is special about laing !!!

Actually, that word searches fine on my site, running 4.7RC3.
I think I have cracked the
I think I have cracked the problem
if you have the porterstemmer module installed any two chars followed by ing will fail with the error above presumably the porterstemmer module is dropping the ing leaving only two characters hence the message about 3 characters or more

Sound like a feature
Sound like a feature request, maybe even a bug for the "porterstemmer module". I vote for bug.

Looks like the fix would be:
Please log this issue, so users of porterstemmer will know about it and some kind programmer will fix it.
Thanks,
Chris
