Availability of Tabular Data Entry control?

I'm looking into designing an internal company website with Drupal, and I was wondering if there are any open-source HTML/JS widgets that act similar to Google's Spreadsheet? I don't need or want WYSIWYG formatting or formulas, just a basic tabular data entry form. If available I would plan on adding it to a custom module. Any ideas or pointers?

I've not tried it yet but maybe the http://drupal.org/project/sheetnode module is worth a look.
