I have three (3) issues with http://drupal.org/project/Modules. Does anyone know what's going on?
If any parts of the below comments have already been submitted as issues, kindly post links to them at this thread. Thank you! :)
Issue 1
As I recall from a few days ago, there were three (3) options for listing all the contributed modules for Drupal versions 4.7.x, 4.6.x, etc.
For example, contributed modules for version 4.7.x could be listed from 3 options as follows:
(1) alphabetical (this is the original way modules were listed)
(2) by category (for example, if you chose the e-commerce category, you'd get all the e-commerce related modules)
(3) by latest update (for example, the most recently updated contributed module would be listed at the very top and the module with the oldest update would be listed at the bottom)
I thought these enhancements to drupal.org were fantastic, but options (2) by category and (3) by latest update are both gone. :(
Issue 2
In addition, most of the contributed modules are all now appearing in some random non-alphabetized order when I believe it should be an alphabetized list. I've got Atom at the top and Selenium at the bottom. The list starts out alphabetized but then one starts finding modules beginning with a's, b's, and c's all over the place when they should clearly be at the beginning and near the top. For example, Advanced menu item settings is near the bottom and is listed after modules beginning with p's, t's, o's, etc.
Issue 3
Finally, when I choose Filter by version: 4.7.x
For example, if I look at the very first contributed module on my screen, which is Atom, I can run my mouse over the Download link and at the bottom of my Internet Explorer browser in my Status Bar, I see that the version to download is 4.7.0 as in http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/drupal/files/projects/atom-4.7.0.tar.gz. However, when I click on Atom, I see under Releases that the latest release is actually for 4.6.0 as in Download latest release (4.6.0, 07/04/2006 - 17:15, 9.39 KB).
Adding to this issue is the fact that when I click View other releases, it shows me that the 4.7.0 version was last modified on April 9, 2006 while the 4.6.0 version was last modified on April 7, 2006, a difference of two days. This tells me that the 4.7.0 version is in fact the most recent but that's not what is being presented at Atom.
I could understand it if perhaps the code called for the latest stable Drupal version, 4.6.6, to then list the latest matching contributed modules' version on the modules page with a default of, in this case 4.6.0. But that doesn't seem to be the case because if one goes to the EventFinder module, one can see that it lists CVS, not 4.6.0, as the latest under Releases.
Thanks for your kind assistance.
Any help with the above issues, particularly Issue 1, would be most welcome.
Thank you,
Walt
Comments
Here's the issue
http://drupal.org/node/59902
I'm hoping it will resolve all three.
Issue 3 above is...still an issue
Thanks for the link, nedjo! I see that issues 1 & 2 have been fixed.
However, issue 3 is still valid as far as I can tell. I went through the motions as described above and it's the same as before. Does anyone know if this issue has been submitted and, if so, can you please post a link to it here?
If Issue 3 hasn't already been submitted and is, in your opinion, a valid issue, please let me know by posting a reply and I'll be happy to submit it.
Thank you.

Probably it's this issue
http://drupal.org/node/59906. Does that sound right? I should try to get a patch in....
Related, but separate issues
I would say my one remaining issue (#3 above) and your issue as found at http://drupal.org/node/59906 are related and...quite possibly second cousins. ;)
My issue and your issue are not exactly the same. Please follow my example for #3 above and you'll see (unless things change between now and the time that you check) that the LAST update for any of the Atom releases is April 9, 2006 and it's for the 4.7.0 version as found at http://drupal.org/node/3221/release. However, the "Download latest release" as found at http://drupal.org/project/atom is for the 4.6.0 version, with a date of 4/7/06, which is two days OLDER than the 4.7.0 release date of 4/9/06.
So, if your logic at 59906 were true, I would expect to see the latest release, i.e. 4.7.0., at http://drupal.org/project/atom. Instead, I see 4.6.0. Strange, huh?
Now, please understand that I didn't go through any other contrib modules at this time, so it may be possible that both our issues are correct when looking at different modules. However, your logic in the case of the Atom module does not appear to be valid as far as I can tell.
Would you like me to add my comments to http://drupal.org/node/59906 or are they good enough here?

Yes, please update the issue
I believe this is the same issue, but from what you describe, it sounds like the current behaviour is different from what I thought.
Done - issue updated
I went ahead and posted my issue #3 to http://drupal.org/node/59906.
Please let me know if I can help in any other way.
