Auto-Expiring Flexinode Content
conkhead - April 24, 2006 - 18:48
I am constructing a classified ad system out of flexinode nodes and the location module. I've been looking around for some way to make the created nodes auto-expire after a certain amount of time *set by the admin* - and not by the scheduler module or similar (as in http://drupal.org/node/52309 ). Unfortunately I am not a good enough PHP programmer to do this myself. Has anyone already done this, and/or is there code for this on these forums that I did not find? My thanks for your help in advance --

expiring
I guess I'd need to know what your objection is to the scheduler module - it sounds to me like that really is what you want.

I installed the Scheduler
I installed the Scheduler module on 4.6.3, In the version of Scheduler that I installed, the scheduler had to be set per individual node, and not per node type. Also, it only worked off of specific dates - e.g,. "expires on May 3, 2006" - and not a certain number of days ahead (e.g., 45 days from the day posted).
What I want is something where the admin can set the number of days to expiration ahead of time for all nodes created for a certain node type. Did I intall an older version of the scheduler module? Does the current version do what I want it to do?
