I have installed Simplenew a few weeks ago, worked great sent out 2 newsletter just fine and it was received.

Then I installed Mime for html. I never could get any of the e-mails to be seen from that point forward just got white space.

Then I have disabled Mime and removed it from server. From that point on I can't get a singe thing go out for Simplenews. Regulat e-mail from contacts and other notifications do work fine. I can't even get it to send me the admin a test newsletter.

Any suggestoins?

Per our phone discussion this sounds like either a platform (PHP/MySQL/Apache) or installation issue.

Could you please:

1. Install a new test installation of Drupal/Simplenews/Mime on your server and see if it is able to send emails. If emails are successfully sent from the test installation, then that means that your platform is ok.

2. Install a copy of your production Drupal installation (all files in you Drupal directory plus you database dump) on another computer (you mentioned you had an extra server in your office). This is done to reduce the risk of accidental damage to your production installation. Hopefully you will be able to reproduce the problem on the test installation. If you can reproduce the problem, you can then try different scenarios, e.g. removing modules that might be conflicting, changing Simplenews settings, etc. Hopefully you can figure out how to fix the issue on the test installation, and then apply those changes to the production installation.

Please let us know if you are able to complete these steps and the result.

Hi Dave;

The solution was much simpler then spending another 20 hours trouble shooting, lol. I have deleted the newsletter issue that wasn't generating even a test mail and I have started over with a new issue and it is working fine. Thanks for all your help!

Great to hear you have the issue fixed.

You solution has given me an idea - I should create a Simplenews Troubleshooting checklist - step #1 is to delete the current newsletter and make a new one!
