One of our project requires freelinking module [1]. The current maintainer of this project eafarris [2] is not able/willing to maintain it further [3]. I would like to take the ownership of this project and do the needful stuffs. I have already sent a mail to project maintainer two weeks ago and remained him through issue queue four days ago. There is no response as of now. Please do the needful.

avpadernoI am going to send an email to the maintainer, asking him to reply here; if he does not reply in two weeks, I will make you maintainer of the project.

sivaji_ganesh_jojodae commentedThanks Kiam, lets wait for two weeks.
avpadernoI passed the ownership of the module to sivaji.

sivaji_ganesh_jojodae commentedI did not had much time to work on this project. Grayside (http://drupal.org/user/346868) is quite active in maintaining freelinking module, i do like to make him as an owner for his contribution.

Grayside commentedI agree with this. Sivaji will stay on as a maintainer to assist with D7 conversion.
avpadernoAs per comment #7, there is nothing that still needs to be done; Grayside has access to the project repository, and he suggested to keep sivaji as maintainer.
Grayside commentedI should have said co-maintainer then? Our intent is to shift the primary maintainer position.
avpadernoThat's clearer. I am sorry for the misunderstanding. In Drupal.org, maintainer means the user who is author of the project, and who can give CVS access to other users; co-maintainers cannot give CVS access to other users.
I passed the ownership to Grayside as requested.
