Is it safe to upgrade from 6.x-1.0-beta2 to 6.x-2.0-beta2? Or is that not possible?

The 2.x version has been split up, so there are one or two additional sub-modules you need to enable before it will work (depending on if you use singleframe or thumbnailhover or both). Also, you may need to edit your view and save it again. Do it on your dev site first after doing a full backup, but it shouldn't be a problem as long as you do the above.

  • upgraded multiple sites 6.x-1.0-beta2 to 6.x-2.0-beta2
  • enable the two sub-modules included
  • updated
  • in views choose to configure and re save all slideshow settings
  • had to updated some CSS, seems paragraphs tags were added?
  • upgrade works for me!
