Hello. I am trying to figure out how to give each user administrator access to only nodes created by them self. When I use permissions, if I give a user "administer nodes", when they go to content management, it list all nodes. Can someone advise?

Administer node does indeed apply to all nodes-- there are some contributed modules in 'user access' category, like the http://drupal.org/project/publishcontent module, that can give users different admin permissions.
