ok. are you interested in helping make the chatroom UI nicer? for the development branch of the chatroom, all bets are off, and i'm totally open to a completely revamped look and feel.

it would be very useful if you (or any other people with the skills) could come up with some mockup jpegs.

Sure I wouldnt mind helping, just let me know more specifically what you would need and how to go about it

awesome, thanks.

i started a discussion over at groups.drupal.org:

http://groups.drupal.org/node/32772

probably the first thing we need is a couple of photoshop mockups (can just attach jpegs) of what the chat interface should look like posted to that issue.

hopefully we can generate a bit of discussion, and when we're happy with the mockups, we can come back here and create issues to implement them.

sound ok?

Hey justin yea I'm interested just give me the image dimensions and what you want them to be saved as, it looks like it will be two images if i am not mistaken 1.) message area 2.) user-list --- is this correct?

OL-SKI, great, i've renamed this issue to reflect what we're working on now.

i'll leave it up to you to figure out whether its one or two or whatever images. really, just make as many as think will be useful.

i'd say if you went for a 1024x768 as the area to optimise for that would be great.

to give you a feel for some user interface issues worked on for Drupal 7 and how people can interact and iterate over them, here are a few links:

The designer for the project im working on is going to give it a crack.
Need a design for this project anyway so will try to make something usable. Expect something soon as the project is on a tight schedule.

In the light of tight schedule, justin. When do you think a "stable" or a working alpha copy is going to see the light? As the alpha is still way buggy.

Docc: great, thanks for that, looking forward to it.

did you try the new alpha2 --> http://drupal.org/node/618432 ?

if its still way buggy, could you please file bug reports, as that's the quickest way to make it less buggy...
