No News View with Dynamic Display Block??

Although I see you are a long time drupal user, when you assign an issue to yourself it means that you will solve the issue yourself and nobody has to do something. When you need help, leave assigned to unassign.

Thanks heaps for the quick response and guidance... same outcome but not the issue... it did however lead me to the reason which was the theme name spelt incorrectly in the template.php file. That plus the clue that I had inserted the view and not the block.

I will now work through the layout options...

I am now wondering how I can make the block display only items created by the a particular user. i.e. I have instered the the block into a user panel to display their specials? each registered user has their own user page (My account) and therefore their own specials.... any ideas seeing as the view is created as a node not a user view?

In the new issue please give more information what you want to accomplish and what you tried already.

Do you use the panels 3 module to add the block?
Normally you should be able to use arguments and a filter on the user who posted the node.
I did not use this custom usage before and will not be able to try this out myself soon.
