Is there a way to utalize the url_alter to help solve this? Other modules like Drupal for facebook and Purl are using it.

I'm having this issue as well, I'm using spaces, and RDF breaks the url prefixing used. I'd really like to find a way around this to fix this.....work arounds....etc...
