The Site Navigation Menu has those nice icons that indicate sub-menus. (arrow pointing to right to indicate there is a submenu, arrow pointing down to indicate the menu is expanded.)
Is there any setting/whatever to make it so that clicking on the "expanded menu" icon will collapse that menu?
Sure would make navigation a lot easier. (especially when some large sub-menu tree is open and you want to get to some other root menu item.)

As far as I can tell, neither of those allows you to collapse the menu by clicking on the icon.
They just limit it to a single expanded tree, and won't collapse a tree until some other has been clicked on to be expanded.
I'd really like to be able to collapse the currently expanded tree, without having to expand another tree. The whole point is to make it so you can actually get to the other tree without scrolling the screen down to where the other tree starts, because the currently expanded tree is so big.

you could use nice menus and make all the children, sub menu or fly out

I think there may be a jquery menu thing that does what your talking about
JQuery menu
http://drupal.org/project/jquerymenu
he has a demo.. it does it

I took a look at all 3 mentioned projects there.
JQueryMenu looks like it has exactly what I want. DHTML is almost there, but the double-click to actually go to menu items would be annoying.
ActiveMenu looks like it may be dead.

I'll be trying JQueryMenu soon.
...

Okay, just tried it. JQueryMenu is EXACTLY what I wanted.

THANKS!!!!

The neat thing is the menu stays in the block as normal and has the control + link with out hitting a link and it will expand all the menus if you want..
I like it.. There was another jquery one, but couldn't find it.
This a very interesting site to check out..
