Can't view node before publishing

For the record, this module has saved my life -- thanks.

It's very confusing, though, that I can grant a user access to publish nodes without their first being able to view them. If I list a bunch of unpublished nodes for an editor to go through, they get Access Denied when clicking through to the node. As a workaround, if I provide a link directly to the Edit page, the preview button works to at least see the preview... but it'd be nice to view the actual node in all its glory before publishing it. If I could just do that, I could avoid installing and setting up a bunch of complicated workflow modules. :)
