I can see the date fields in views filter

I can add the date fields in a view (6.x-2.6 version) just in the field and sort section of the edit page. In the arguments and filters section (this is what I need) it doesn't appear in the list.
What I mean is than i can use a date field as a filter in a view, because doesn't appear in the available filters list. I change to the latest dev version but nothing. I just can see a delta date field.
It´s a know limitation of the module or just a bug of my installation????

In the filters section, look under Date "Date: Date (node)". You will be able to select the cck date field when you get to the settings.
