I am unable to upload jpegs or gifs created by either version of Photoshop. I opened the same images with Paint and resaved as jpegs with a new name, and they uploaded but the image quality was poor. Photos from other sources (untouched by my Photoshop) uploaded fine, with high quality.

I am running image, img_assist and TinyMCE.

Hm, what file save options are you using? Perhaps photoshop is saving it in some way that's not happy working with Image and Img-assist?

Make sure you are not saving in CMYK, photoshop don't produce a "special jpg or gift" , just watch the parameters that browser can handle.
