Hi all.
Just put together a site for our client, but when newsletters are sent, all people on the list receive is text. No images at all. No links, no attachments, nothing!
We hard coded the images into the newsletters with absolute paths, but it didn't make any difference.
I read in other posts that some people have this problem with Google, but our problem is across the board. Not just with Google.
Does anyone know a possible solution?
I'm rather new to Drupal, so not a lot of technical knowledge yet.
Thank you in advance.
Dima

Are you using FCKEditor?

If yes it destroys the URL of the Image.

I hope was useful.

What does FCK editor do to the url?

@bendingcaesar: assigning an issue to yourselves means: 'Hands off, I'm working on it'. Are you? And don't expect a high priority will help you. It won't.

Hi Rui,
I am using FCD editor, but when I edit the sent newsletter again and hit the "source" button, I can see that the image URL is exactly the same as I hard coded. I assume you don't mean it destroyed the URL's as the newsletter is being sent, but leaves them intact on the actual page??

Well, now I really do feel stupid. I thought assigning it to my username was something to tell everyone who I am.
Thanks for letting me know this. I changed it.
I was actually working on it, but I am out of ideas. I have no clue what's causing the problem.

Start with specifying what the problem is _exactly_. Investigate when is occurs (HTML and/or plain emails, with <img> and/or <a> tags) in test-emails or final emails. Next search the issue queue if simplenews, mimemail, HTML mail and other mail related modules for this problem or other URL, image or link problems

I think I figured something out.
In the Simplenews configuration, it's telling me that the Newsletter format is "plain," and if I want to send newsletters in HTML format, I have to install the Mime Mail module.
I think that's the problem. It's sending newsletters in plain text.
The only problem is that the newest release of Mime Mail is in Alpha-1 release. Is that pre-beta, or post-beta?
Any ideas to get around this?
Thank you.

No activity for two weeks. Closing the issue.
