Using the checkbox widget, is there a way to enable all the child-terms be selected simultaneously once the parent-term is checked?
Thanks.

OneTwoTait commentedI'm looking for the same thing, except for any widget, and I want the parent terms to automatically be added when any child term is added by a user.

MBroberg commentedCheck out http://drupal.org/project/hierarchical_select
You can decide how deep your term selection will be and which ones are stored.
Not sure if it can handle original question but definitely #2

OneTwoTait commentedThis doesn't handle what I'm looking for. Hiererarchical Select is incredibly slow on many (or maybe most) Drupal installations.
I just simply want the parent term to automatically be selected.
