Views OR in views arguments section

I have an events view and I want to get all events I created or signup for.

Views Or: Begin alternatives
(Signup) User: UID
Views Or: Next alternative
User: Uid
Views Or: End alternatives

I set up next alternative so that the first argument could also be passed to second argument.

I thought I could enter: mysite.com/events/all/all

but I get no data.

I have to add 3 more 'all', which is my wildcard to account for the "Views Or" argument.

is there a way around this so that Views Or is invisible or give me the option of specifiying the wildcard that i want to use.
