This is RC1 of Image Gallery Access for Drupal 6.
IGA is well-tested and a few remaining bugs in BETA3 have been fixed. The one new feature is hiding the Image galleries menu item for users that don't have access to any galleries. This needs to be tested on the 'classic' (= non-Views) galleries as well as on the 'Views' galleries. On the latter, IGA also takes care of creating the menu item in the first place. Please provide feedback (both good and bad!) in the issues queue. See #365936-8: RC3 for D6 - [Image Gallery Access] for details.
Image Gallery Access RC1 requires ACL 6.x-1.0+ and Image 6.x-1.0-beta3+!
Changes since BETA3:
Bugs fixed:
- #616812: Template values for new galleries were not saved.
- #612678: Fix broken batch update operation.
- Don't try to initialize {iga} table if installed at the same time as the image module.
- #493044: Fix missing initialization of the {image_gallery_access} table during installation.
Enhancements:
- #543576: Hide the 'Image galleries' menu item for users that can't see any galleries (and make it appear in the first place for the views version of image_gallery.module).
Note: The devel_node_access module, which is part of the Devel module, provides an in-depth view into the inner workings of node access, especially if you enable its debug mode at admin/settings/devel#edit-devel-node-access-debug-mode . This is a big help for understanding the forces that control access to any given node.
Note the Drupal core and Image module issues listed on the Image Gallery Access front page, which are outside the scope of Image Gallery Access. Help resolve these issues to make Image Gallery Access perform even better!.
