Image Gallery Access
This module changes your image gallery administration page to allow you to set image galleries private. You can control what user roles can view, edit, delete and post to each gallery. You can also give each gallery a list of users who have administrative access on that gallery (AKA moderators).
Image galleries are provided by the Image Gallery module inside the Image module. Image Gallery Access also requires the ACL module in order to function.
We now have BETA1 for Drupal 6 — please test it and provide feedback (both good and bad!) in the issues queue. See #365936: BETA1 for D6 - [Image Gallery Access] for details.
You must update to the latest ACL BETA4 before installing Image Gallery Access BETA1!
Warning: If you use Content Access to grant access to nodes of the image content type, then IGA can only grant more access, but it cannot restrict access to less than what CA is granting.
Open issues outside of Image Gallery Access:
- There are lots of open issues with Image 5.x-2.0-dev, which has changed fundamentally, and I ccouldn't get it to run. However, when I went past 5.x-2.0 on to 6.x-1.x most problems disappeared. Some additional information can be found here:
- The way Image rebuilds its images can break Rebuild permissions: #226121: "Derivative images were regenerated" during Rebuild Permissions
Update: I found a Rebuild image thumbnails action on admin/content/node; while it's tedious to do this one page at a time, it may let you get around trashing the node access table. - Drupal Core 6 / Views2: A db_rewrite_sql() issue causes DISTINCT queries (frequently used in Views2) to fail, when any node access module is enabled (see #284392: db_rewrite_sql causing issues with DISTINCT and provide feedback).
