Granular Control of Restrict To and Restrict From

I have a menu item for users to sign up for a paid membership on a site. However, I would like to restrict access from users who already have that role, so that they do not see the join now menu item. Since simple authenticated users need to see this link, selecting authenticated users in the list of restricted roles makes the menu item visible to ALL authenticated users.

In short, I'd like to be able to select any number of roles, except for specified ones.
