I have both modules installed and am currently using the FCKEditor over the WYSIWYG API because there is no browse for image on the WYSIWYG API - FCKEditor tool bar when I click insert an image. I cannot even browse for current images. I downloaded all the other modules (cck, filefield, image_resize, imagecache, imageapi imgassist, insert, views) for WYSIWYG API that suggests on how to get it working but nothing has worked. If anyone can help that would be most appreciated.
Also if anyone knows why the FCKEditor does not function properly like when I click the align button it does not function in the editor but when I save and preview it does perform the function, just not in the editor. Also when I try to insert a table only the right and bottim border appear on the preview but in Edit mode it shows the surrounding border, any help with any of this stuff would be most appreciated.

WYSIWYG API, IMCE, and IMCE Wysiwyg Bridge
I've been happily using the combination of the modules for a few weeks now – though so far only with TinyMCE, not FCKeditor. Supposedly it'll work with the latter too; give it a shot.
