mp_file: Until now, there is a problem with the nodes, named non-latin characters. Files, renaming, remain without a name, only the dot-extension. Is it possible to pass through the file before renaming the module http://drupal.org/project/transliteration?

The new 6.x dev release of mp_file allows you to change the file name via, hook_mpf_new_file_name. Can you use this to accomplish what you want?
