Hi,

I wonder whether it would be very complicated to allow assigning several languages to a single taxonomy term. I frequently meet the case where a term is original in one language but loaned as well in others. It would save quite a bit of work entering data if we could simply mark the single term for several languages.

Thank you for your consideration

It will be quite complex, as it doesn't fit with the current data model, so some major rework would be needed.
I mark it as 'postponed', maybe for the future..

A single term can have different translations. The english term "second" for example has two different translations in german: "Zweiter" (second one) or "Sekunde (smallest time interval).
So I consider this as an impossible feature, because translations of translations in other languages could only cause chaos.
Besides that I assume the development costs for extending data model are much higher than the editorial translation costs.
