it's not clear if we should use cvs username or d.o username to give credit at commit messages(some people do not use the same username)
I suppose it should be cvs username if that exists or d.o username if not, but maybe there is another official way to do it?

vm commentedThe lack of specificaton in the document would tell me that it is soley up to you which username you give credit when both accounts are yours. Whether CVS or your normal d.o username.

avpadernoI think that it should be used the user name.
Not all people have a CVS account, but that doesn't stop them from providing a patch for a bug report. Also, people are known on Drupal.org for the user name, not the CVS account name.

marvil07 commentedthat makes sense, the only "problem"(maybe not really one) is that d.o usernames can be space separated, and one issue with more than 3 contributers could be a long commit title line.. well just to comment, but I think we got the point
